Some thresholds change everything.
I work with people navigating meaningful change — helping them complete what's behind them, discover what's possible, and integrate what they're becoming. My work is grounded in mindfulness, neuroscience, wisdom traditions, and my own lived experience.
My own path has been anything but linear. In a single year, I left the Jehovah’s Witness religion and was shunned by everyone in that community — including all members of my immediate family — ended a nine-year marriage, and moved from Portland to Chicago to start over. I wrote about that excruciating and exhilarating time in my memoir, Shunned: How I Lost My Religion and Found Myself (2018).
More change followed. I left a thriving corporate career to become an executive coach. I remarried and found real peace — until my husband was diagnosed with Stage IV cancer and died two months later. Three months after that, I was diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer. Four months later I endured surgery to remove a benign lung tumor.
You can’t make this stuff up.
In my work with hundreds of individuals, executives, and teams, I’ve realized that we all have a story that includes a constellation of beauty and challenges. Being human is a tough gig, and the source of all joy.
These experiences taught me that all endings hold gifts — if we take time to find them. In 2012, I codified a 4-Step Process for Honorable Closure to help people complete a significant experience, claim what they've learned, and move forward with intention.
My path also led me to explore expanded states of consciousness. In 2001, I traveled to the Amazon and participated in a sacred ayahuasca ceremony with a Shaman of the Achuar nation — an experience that changed my life. I came away with fresh resolve, feeling deeply connected, and with a clear sense that I belong.
Recently, I earned certification to support people with a range of psychedelic medicines and continue to feel awe at their power to foster insight, clarity, and lasting change.
I wish for meaningful change for everyone. I wish it for you.
“Thank you, Linda, for all the ways you supported me through leaving my VP position, facing my fears and upgrading my belief in myself.
One year later, I am happy to report that I have a new position as COO, working for someone I’ve always respected.
I truly believe that the closure process we worked on together afforded me this blessing. Thank you for the huge impact you’ve had on my life”
